Stripped files are files that have the embedded information contained within the file, which you can't see without a sequencing editor or viewing program, completely removed by people trying to remix or for some reason, change the file. A very large portion of the files floating on the Internet are either pro files or stripped pro files. Just because you got your files online, doesn't mean they are public domain. Most of the people sued had no idea that the files they downloaded off the web, involved professionally sequenced files. Please understand that the MidKar Group exists only because of the many past lawsuits on innocent people posting professional MIDI files on their sites. This site will be a work in progress as over MIDI's have been posted to MidKar since April of and it is going to take some time to archive all of the previous posts and at least 5 new posts are made to MidKar every day so this will always be an on going project. We intend to archive the MIDI's by general category.
Now I’ll list a couple of the most famous songs of each genreĪnd their links to the websites where you can download the MIDI files for free.It will also enable members to go back and find a file that they may have not downloaded at the time of the original post and also enable new members to go back and find previous posted MIDI's. It is worth noting, however, that the site is completely in French, at least the descriptions of the artists & albums are, but the name of the Artists, Albums & Songs are all in English, so they should be easy enough to find!Ĭheck out here. It includes artists such as Queen, David Bowie, Coldplay, and others, and it provides you with a list of all of their albums plus the songs on each of those albums that you can download by simply clicking on the song (no hoops to jump through, which is refreshing to see). This last addition was actually brought to my attention by the owner of the site in the comment section of this article, and it does feature a multitude of genres and over 4000 MIDI files that you can download for free.
